Over at All things digital they just released an interview that they had with Steve Jobs. Interesting read especially about the iPhone, iTunes, Apple TV and iPod.
There are few online services also offer editing tools that go beyond simple rotation, resizing and cropping and start to creep into Photoshop.
Its a Flash-based Editor and layer-based online tool. It's really good example of flash can do a such application's like this.
Picture2life is an Ajax based photo editor. It’s focused on grabbing and editing images. You can transferred your photo to Flickr, 23 and Imageshack after editing.
Its a Flickr-specific tool that uses the Flickr API, even for account sign-in. The service includes basic cropping, sharpening, color correction and other tools to enhance images.
Its the best of the Ajax based editors and has a great user interface with the main features highlighted on large icons. The basic “enhance” feature does a very good job of fixing the obvious problems with pictures. Edited photos can be transferred to Flickr or Webshots’ AllYouCanUpload service.
Snipshot, previously called Pixoh, is also Ajax-based editing tool.
They said the widget is created for Multi-Mania is now available to the public. The widget will show you daily visits for a selected date range and handles multiple profiles from different accounts if you have access to other people’s accounts via the access manager. The interface and charting look nothing like your regular flex app, so besides from being informational it also looks freaking cool on your desktop!
But my one problem with it is asking my UserName and Password of my Gmail Account. Slightly itching it :(
You can start creating your family tree on our homepage through a fun simple interface. It’s extremely simple and fast to build your tree by clicking the yellow arrows in the direction you want to add new family members. As you’ll notice, there is no software download required, no lengthy signup process, and no fees.
There is another key advantage of Geni: When you add a relative, you can also enter his or her email address. In that case your relative will receive an email inviting him or her to join your tree. By clicking a link, your relative will be taken to the same family tree you’ve been working on, but re-centered from that relative’s point of view.
Your relative can then add other relatives, and so on. Your tree will continue to grow as relatives invite other relatives.
Whereas conventional family trees show only your direct ancestors, your Geni tree includes siblings, spouses, cousins, aunts and uncles, and their families. The hope is to identify not just your common ancestors but all your living relatives and in-laws. This makes Geni different from the many great genealogy sites which already exist.
Once you’ve built your tree, you can create an individual profile which allows other relatives to learn more about you and stay in touch. Over time Geni plans to layer on additional family networking features like photo sharing so you can stay in touch with your family network.
sephiroth did Flash Switcher extension for Mozilla firefox. It can be useful for Flash developer who want to easily test their pages with different flash player versions.
The extension hasn't been approved yet by the Mozilla developer extension team so sephiroth decided to test it.
This extension comes with all the currently published flash player plugins (from the version 2 to the most recent 9,0,16) and allows you to easily switch from one plugin to another, or also to remove the currently installed plugin (maybe for testing the express install).
Once installed you will find the "flash switcher" icon in the Firefox statusbar at right. Click on it and a list of available options will appear.
Can I add more flashplayer versions?
Yes, even if you should do it manually.
The extensionn folder can be found here:
C:\{userAppData}\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\{userProfile}\extensions\{2b5cfade-d133-429c-aea5-865911de4e1d}Into the "chrome\plugins" folder you will see different folder (such as 9.0 r16, 8.0 r24 etc) with a file NPSWF32.dll within.
To install a new plugin just create a new folder with the name of the player version and copy into it the NPSWF32.dll file which comes with every flash player installer.
You can find all the old flash Player Versions here
Install flash_switcher.xpi here (currently Windows only)
How it looks?
